The Centre for Excellence in Rail Training (CERT) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and is authorised through the Training Accreditation Council Western Australia (TAC WA) to provide accredited training nationally.
CERT is registered to deliver Nationally Endorsed Qualifications that includes:
- Certificate 0 – III in Security Operations
- Certificate 0 – IV in Transport Logistics (Rail Operations)
- Certificate 0 – IV in Transport Logistics (Rail Infrastructure)
- Certificate 0 – IV in Logistics Operations
CERT delivers complete qualifications or specified units of competence to meet individual client needs. Specific units can be aligned to meet identified job role functions.
Units of competence from the Transport and Logistics Training Package can include:
- Handling Cargo/Stock
- Equipment Checking and Maintenance
- Load Handling
- Undertake track ballast activities
- Visually inspect and monitor track
- Record and analyse track parameters
- Maintain track geometry
- Operate under track protection rules

- Operate basic security equipment
- Patrol premises
